An ancilliary purpose of the Foundation is to advance research that directly informs the diagnosis and treatment of serious harm effects following crimes of deception. One way the Foundation advances research in direct support of our primary purpose is through the promotion of research scholarships and activities that address priority themes. Every two years the Foundation Board establishes research priorities
that consider the evolving threat and response system environment.
The undertaking of such research must directly inform methods and treatments used by the Foundation or have practical benefits to the broader response system.
